Corporate ticket sales begin on 28 November while the public can get them from mid-December.
The cheapest ticket is around S$50 (US$33) - which could be sold at twice the price on race day – according to Singapore Grand Prix which is organising the race. It said mid-range packages would also be made available as well as those catering to corporates.
Singapore GP – controlled by hotel tycoon Ong Beng Seng – won the hosting rights for five years starting from 2008 with an option to renew for another five.
The 4.8 kilometre F1 race weaves around the downtown Marina Bay area. Hotels in the vicinity are already gearing up for the race, with higher rates expected during the event period. About 80,000 to 90,000 people are expected to catch the roaring action next year.
