Singapore’s F1 organisers will be implementing cost-cutting measures for this year’s race, in line with the global economic crisis. Channel NewsAsia reported Lawrence Foo, Manager of Circuit & Infrastructure, Singapore GP, saying; “This year we will start setting up the circuit a little bit later, probably about June onwards, compared to last year… we will also try to make the period shorter.”
Last year, work to set up the track started in May and it took about two months to dismantle all the equipment after the race ended on 28 September.
