Singapore got its first taste of green transportwith the arrival of the first batch of lightweight, economical andenvironmentally-friendly electric scooters. Designed by Singapore company, Zeco Scooters,the green machine has no valves, combustion chambers or exhaust. The scootersrun on sealed silicon batteries and can be charged from any mains socket inthree to five hours, for just 70 cents for five hours of travel.
Already severalcompanies are supporting the initiative by providing “Greenlots” for riders topark, plug-in and re-charge their green machines.
