More Singaporeans are keen to travel to China, especially Beijing, after the country hosted the Olympic Games, a survey has shown.
The Straits Times said a recent online survey by the Nielson Company showed that more than 8 in 10 Singaporeans said they wanted to visit the country, particularly the capital.
The report added that yesterday’s travel fair organised by local travel agency Chan Brothers saw visitors crowding booths offering tours to Beijing and other parts of China. About 1,500 visitors to the fair signed up for packages to China, an obvious increase from a year ago, the report said.
