Six Senses Resorts & Spas is to manage a wellness resort in the ancient Chinese water town of Nanxun, an hour’s drive from Shanghai.
China Hospitality News said OZ China Property Holdings, a New York City-based real estate investment company, Clubtel Corporation (Hong Kong) and Shanghai Profound Investment & Development Company (China) are developing the exclusive resort.
Under the terms of the agreement, Six Senses will manage, operate, brand and promote the development, which comprises a Six Senses Latitude and a Six Senses Spa.
The 20-acre parcel will include 142 rooms, 20 villas and spa facilities with strong modern and traditional Chinese medical and therapy components.
The resort will include 12 spa treatment rooms, four food and beverage outlets, conferencing facilities and other services. Amenities are to include private plunge pools, library and watercraft for canal transportation within the complex.
