SkyTeam has opened a new lounge at Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport.
Available to elite FFP and premium passengers flying from the airport on any of the 10 SkyTeam member airlines that serve Istanbul, the new lounge measures 350m² and can hold 90 passengers at a time. Facilities include a business centre with printing facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, an oxygen bar and massage chairs, a bar, buffet, more than 70 electric power sockets and a reading area.
“Turkey is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and, with direct links to Istanbul offered by SkyTeam airlines globally, the investment in the new lounge will strengthen our brand in this dynamic market,” said Michael Wisbrun, SkyTeam’s managing director.
SkyTeam’s Istanbul facility is the latest in a series of new lounges being developed by the alliance. Two more lounges, at Sydney and Beijing airport, will open in late 2013 and 2014 respectively.
SkyTeam airlines serving Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport include Aeroflot, Air France, Alitalia, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air, KLM, Middle East Airlines, Tarom and Saudia.
