Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa will launch the Waitui Beach Club, a new-build leisure concept for adults only, later this year.
The Waitui Beach Club (Waitui meaning ‘Salt Water’ in Fijian) commenced construction in February 2015.
It will officially launch to the public on 24 July, and it will have its own pool, champagne bar, restaurant and poolside cabanas.
Representing an investment of FJ$3.2 million (US$1.54m), the new pool development within the existing resort will be accompanied by the introduction of a new accommodation category consisting of 74 designated Beach Club rooms.
Waitui Beach Club will have a focus on health, with complimentary yoga and tai chi in the morning and a healthy breakfast when booked.
Other features will include a private, dedicated check-in area, personalised pool butler service, a selection of menus by nutritionist Lucinda Zammit, a 25m lap pool, gymnasium and complimentary sun downer cocktails. Guaranteed pool seating is on offer exclusively for Waitui Beach Club guests.
The space can operate as a new stand-alone MICE venue in Fiji – the beach club will feature a meeting and incentive space that can be utilised for conferences on special request.
