SriLankan Holidays, the leisure entity of the national carrier SriLankan airlines are in its first year of operation and attain its success by its variety of packages which have sold over 10,000 and 50 per cent are to popular destinations out of SriLanka.
The figures were led by Thailand; closely following its heels is Malaysia, China and Singapore as they offer the best value for money and attractive flight frequencies.
The Holiday packages were popular with SriLankans and Indian who made up 90 per cent to overall success of SriLankan Holidays.
Peter Hill, CEO, SriLankan Airlines is optimistic that there is still a vast potential in the regional market that the company can tap into as it continues to grow.
SriLankan Holidays is ambitiously expecting in excess of 100 percent growth this year driven by outbound traffic from India and Sri Lanka, with Far East being a significant destination.
According to Amith Sumanapala, General Manager for SriLankan Holidays;
The key to SriLanka Holidays’ success is attributed to their reliable ‘consistency and service delivery’.
Another contributing factor is their innovation in terms of offering creative promotions such as the ‘One rupee package’ where two extra nights are offered for an additional rupee to event packages like concerts and so on.
Sumapala also adds, ‘the attitude and commitment’ of their staff have greatly added value to their company and brings public awareness to their product range.
