The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort will open in China’s resort destination of Hainan Island in November this year. Located on the coastline of Yalong Bay, the resort will be S. Regis’ first in the south of the country as it expands its China footprint.
Competing at the luxury end of the market for business and leisure travellers, the property offers 401 rooms and suites plus 28 beach villas. Each room will be equipped with “state-of-the-art modern conveniences” including HD cable televisions, laptop and MP3 charging stations, as well as WiFi access.
In a bid top the luxury end of the Hainan market, the St. Regis stands out as the only hotel to extend a butler service to every guest in the hotel.
The hotel also features the Iridium Spa offering tradtional Chinese spa treatments. F&B is delivered through the resort’s four dining venues, each serving up a different style of cuisine.
The Beachfront Restaurant, Driftwood, serves local seafood, while Yan Ting Chinese restaurant features Cantonese and Sichuanese dishes. Alternatively, the Decanter by Haut-Brisson offers an extensive wine selection and private rooms for tastings or dinners. Finally, the Drawing Room lounge and bar sets the scene for afternoon tea.
“We are excited to introduce the St. Regis brand to Hainan island,” said Sunny Heng, General Manager of The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort.
“The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort will redefine luxury for this resort destination, offering unrivalled services and amenities and a stunning, contemporary design that will elevate the resort experience for the world’s most discerning travellers.”
Located at the southernmost tip of China, Hainan is a tropical seaside destination. Yalong Bay, on the southern part of the island, is increasingly popular with domestic and international tourists.
