NIKHIL DHODAPKAR has been named as Abacus’ new managing Director for India. With 20 years experience in the travel industry, Dhodapkar has held senior positions within various sectors of the industry, most recently being employed with Carlson Hotels Worldwide, South Asia.
LINLY HENG has been appointed Dusit International’s first Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for the Middle East. Part of the group’s global sales strategy, Heng’s responsibilities will covers all sales and marketing activities in the region. She was most recently employed as pre-opening Director of Sales & Marketing for Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo, Egypt.
PATRICK WONG has been appointed Vice President - Projects with Langham Hotels International. Wong was promoted from his previous role as the Group Director of Projects, having been with Langham since 2005.
KEVIN O’HAGAN has been appointed as the first General Manager of the Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is scheduled to open in Q1 2009. UK national O’Hagan’s career includes having been the founder Chairman of the Jakarta International Hotels Association.
MARKUS KOSCH has been announced as the new General Manager of the Hilton Hefei in China’s Anhui province. Kosch joined Hilton in 1997, and prior to taking this role was Director of Operations at Hilton Beijing.
