The Legoland Malaysia Resort will unveil a new Star Wars display next month.
Opening on 6 September, the Lego Star Wars Miniland Model Display will be housed in a standalone building and recreates seven of the most famous scenes – six from the Star Wars films and one from the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The exhibition will feature a chronological walk through the Star Wars timeline, featuring the planets Christophsis, Endor, Geonosis, Hoth, Kashyyyk, Mustafar, Naboo and Tatooine, before offering a photo opportunity at the ‘Hall of Fame’ with main characters including Chewbacca, C-3PO, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, R2-D2 and Yoda.
Most of the Lego models stand 85cm high, but there will also be life-sized models of C-3PO, Darth Vader and R2-D2 built with more than 80,000 Lego bricks.
“We are thrilled to present our guests something truly special for our second anniversary. This model display is one of a kind in Asia and we are confident that it will be an inspiring experience for both our guests and fans of the film,” said Mark Germyn, general manager of Legoland Malaysia Resort.
The launch of the Star Wars display is timed to mark the second anniversary of the opening of Legoland Malaysia.
