STB unveils YourSingapore brand

Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) new brand YourSingapore (previously Uniquely Singapore) is to be unveiled at Arabian Travel Market (ATM).
Visitors will be able to view the new website www.yoursingapore.com, a range of multimedia and the tourism board’s latest commercial.
“In the past few years, the way people plan and book travel has fundamentally shifted from passive content consumption to the active engagement of individuals through digital and social media. This is particularly true in the Middle East, which is experiencing the world’s fastest Internet penetration growth rates,” said STB’s Area Director for the Middle East and Africa Jason Ong.
STB wants to improve on the 2.7% increase in Middle East travellers (for 2009) by enticing them to two new multi-billion dollar resorts opening soon: Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa, which is where the new Universal Studios Singapore is located.
“With the global travel industry expected to recover this year and with Singapore offering an even more compelling suite of tourism experiences, we are confident of achieving record results for the tourism sector this year,” added Mr Ong.
