Street demos will hit tourism: Malaysian agents

A Malaysian travel agent association has said that street demonstrations in the country would impact tourists’ decision to visit their country.
Malaysian Association of Travel and Tour Agents deputy president Mohd Khalid Harun was quoted saying that the first thing travellers considered when choosing a destination was how safe it was.
“The last thing they want is inconvenience or hassles,” The Star reported him as saying
Mohd Khalid was commenting on a telephone survey earlier this month which showed that a large majority of Malaysians were against street protests.
The country been the scene of street demonstrations recently.
