British Airways flights between the Gulf and London Heathrow continue to be impacted by industrial action.Flights from Dubai, Jeddah, Bahrain and Doha have been subject to cancellations this week, but those from Abu Dhabi have been operating as normal, as have other Middle East services. This week has marked the second consecutive week of strike action taken by Unite - the union that represents BA cabin crew.A BA spokesperson said: “We have proactively contacted customers whose flights have been affected and they have been either re-booked for future dates, re-routed, booked on other airlines or been refunded. Customers can rebook their flights up to 355 days into the future at no additional cost, subject to availability. We recommend that customers check www.ba.com to review their options for re-booking.”British Airways has made arrangements with more than 50 other carriers so that it can re-book customers during the actual strike period onto alternative flights if they had been due to travel on a BA service which has been cancelled. The spokesperson added: “We have announced a larger schedule at Heathrow for this round of strikes because of the numbers of crew reporting for work and we will look to add to this schedule where we can.”
