Strong demand for Visa-on-Arrival

India has seen a strong demand for the Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) scheme, since the programme was extended three months ago. In total 1,793 VOAs have been issued since the scheme was expanded, with Singapore tourists accounting for the highest number (281) from the new VOA-enabled countries. Finland was a close second with 259, while New Zealand was third with 181. 119 Japanese tourists used the facility.
