The Summer Palace in Beijing has received more than 2,000 cultural exhibits from the late Qing Dynasty, Xinhua has reported. The donations, mostly from auctions and private collections, include old photographs of the Summer Palace as well as 200 years-old postcards, Chinese and foreign books, newspapers, posters, maps and tickets. Palace officials were reported saying that the images would help with restoration projects, which will be completed later this year.
