Sundarbans tourism rules to be relaxed

Travelling to India’s Sunderbans national parkmay be simplified, the Times of India has reported. The reams of red tape forforeign visitors, supposedly in place for security purposes, may be cut astravel agents complain about unnecessary inconvenience. Of the 75,000 touristsvisiting the Sundarbans national park last year only 2,500 were foreignaccording to the state tourism department. However the department believes thatmore can be attracted if the entry system is simplified.
