Swiss International has signed an agreement to develop hotels in the Indian state of Haryana.
The company penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innovest Ventures recently, in the presence of Haryana’s Chief Minister ML Khattar. Swiss International has also announced the construction of two new hotels which will open their doors in 2018.
The MoU states that Swiss International and Innovest will invest US$100 million in the state, creating more than 5,000 jobs.
In terms of hotels, one will be developed at Chandigarh International Airport, offering approximately 100 rooms, while the second will be a resort property in Kandaghat, in the neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh, which will be located 1,425 metres above sea-level.
Kapil Singhal, managing director of Innovest Ventures also stated that the two companies plan to develop a series of tourist complexes with hotels and resorts across Haryana in future.
