Tamkeen announces that it signed an agreement with Kempinski hotel to be part of the Career Progression Programme. This program offered by Tamkeen enhances skills of Bahrainis. The agreement will equip Bahraini employees with specialised skills through training to meet the growing demands of the Kingdom’s hospitality and tourism sector.
The employees belong to different backgrounds and have job responsibilities, which include concierge, sales and marketing, catering, housekeeping, as well as finance and administration.
Tamkeen’s acting human capital development vice president, Amal AlKooheji, said: “The hospitality and tourism sector in Bahrain is the fastest growing sector. Therefore it is absolutely critical that sufficient and capable local talent is available to cope with this growth. The agreement with the Kempinski hotel will not only enhance productivity and efficiency of the local Kempinski talent, but will also play a role in enhancing the sector as a whole.”
This training is designed based on detailed studies conducted by a dedicated Tamkeen team in cooperation with the beneficiary enterprises to identify skill gaps among their Bahraini employees.
