The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Dubai recently held a road show in Qatar.
The event was held with the aim to promote Thailand as a value-for-money, family-friendly holiday destination for honeymooners, couples and families. The delegation was led by Chalermsak Suranant, director for TAT Dubai & Middle East Office, who would also be launching ‘Discover Thainess 2015’ campaign.
Suranant said: “The road show is an important event for us as it helps us build new relationships and strengthen ties with our local partners. With the Discover Thainess campaign, we are here to welcome all Thai enthusiasts to experience Thailand in new light.”
The Thai delegation which comprised 24 companies including some hoteliers and travel agents met up with several travel agents from Qatar. The meeting was to highlight Thailand’s destinations for honeymooners and couples. TAT also aims to build and strengthen business ties and network within the region between private sectors from Thailand and local partners across Qatar.
As per recent statistics, in 2014, a total of 24,725 travellers were seen travelling from Qatar to Thailand.
