The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will promote Phuket as a wedding and honeymoon destination, the Phuket Gazette has reported. Bangornrat Shinaprayoon, Director of the TAT’s Phuket office, was reported saying that special promotions will be offered to induce large wedding parties to the island. Indian groups, often comprising groups of 300-500 people, would be specifically targeted, Ms Shinaprayoon said.
