Thai Airways International and Garuda Indonesia have agreed to establish a codeshare arrangement for flights between Bangkok and Denpasar.
The accord would initially benefit THAI as the Indonesian flag carrier does not operate on the route, Bangkok Post said. THAI offers daily service, using an Airbus 330.
The agreement is tentatively due to take effect in the winter programme starting on October 28.
Meanwhile, the report said Garuda has agreed to reschedule its daily Jakarta-Bangkok flight so that it arrives at Suvarnabhumi Airport at around 10 am rather than past midnight. The new schedule would take effect in July.
THAI is set to increase frequencies on the Bangkok-Jakarta route to 10 a week on March 29, up from seven now. All would use wide-body Airbus 300 aircraft.
