Thai gov’t plans aid for tourism companies
The government of Thailand will establish a new fund to assist tourism operators affected by the closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Bangkok Post has reported.
Deputy Prime Minister, Olarn Chaipravat, said the fund would offer loan guarantees to cover up to 50% of the risks carried by local banks. The fund could begin operations as early as next month.
