THAI installs new economy seats on A330

Thai Airways International (THAI) has received its first Airbus A330-300 aircraft with its new economy class seats, fitted by the German seat supplier, ZIM Flugsitz GmbH. The move its part of a retrofitting of its long-haul fleet.
The airline’s President, Piyasvasti Amranand, said; “We have eagerly awaited this delivery and are pleased that our customers in economy class can experience improved products. Economy class customers can expect to enjoy a 32-inch seat pitch, 18-inch seat width, and a 9-inch personal screen with 100 movie selections.”
The aircraft comes equipped with 263 new economy class seats. It is the first of five A330-300s THAI will recieve with the new seats. The national carrier plans to operate the three-class A330-300 aircraft on regional routes.
