THAI to relaunch Royal First Class on Sydney route

(29 Aug 09) THAI is delighted to announce the return of Royal First Class cabins to Australia from 25 October, 2009 when the Airbus A340-600 aircraft comes into service on the Sydney/Bangkok route, twice daily.
THAI will continue to fly 3 times a day from Sydney to Bangkok with 2 of the services operated by the A340-600 aircraft. This aircraft has a 3-class configuration with 8 x Royal First Class seats; 60 Royal Silk Business Class and 199 Economy Class seats respectively. This 4-engine aircraft offers all the latest comforts and personal in-seat entertainment systems for all passengers.
The A340-600 will operate both the afternoon and evening flights to Bangkok with connections to Europe, the Middle-east, India and other Asian cities. A Boeing 777 aircraft will continue to operate the morning flight with connections to domestic Thailand and Asian cities.
Royal First Class fares to destinations across the THAI network have now been re-released to travel agents with fares to Bangkok starting at $5,227 return plus taxes; and combination fares to domestic Thailand points starting from $5,419 return plus taxes (Royal First Class to Bangkok and Royal Silk Business Class onwards to Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Surat Thani or Krabi).
Fares to Europe start from $9,528 return plus taxes with combination fares also available from $8,184 return plus taxes to THAI destinations offering Royal Silk Class travel options only.
