The Montcalm reopens in London

TOKYO, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ — JAL Hotels Co., Ltd. announced that The Montcalm, a Nikko Hotels International property in London, has reopened after a year-long total renovation. The new Montcalm is an ultra-luxurious hotel with five-star standards featuring world-class amenities. The hotel now features an elegant contemporary design while preserving its architectural heritage.
The Montcalm/Hotel Nikko London, very conveniently located for both business and leisure guests, is at the top of London’s Park Lane adjacent to Marble Arch and Hyde Park, and is also surrounded by the excitement of London’s West End.
The new design was created by London architectural firm The Manser Practice and entailed a multi-million dollar renovation. The extensive makeover included the lobby, 153 guest rooms, restaurant, bar, spa and fitness center and all public spaces. The hotel’s elegant Georgian-style exterior, dating back to 1789, is intact. However, the new lobby and public spaces are now designed with contemporary elegance. Guestrooms include seven types of suites with luxury amenities that include personal butlers for every suite, special Spa Suites offering individually-tailored spa treatments, and TVs in most bathrooms. Ladies First rooms cater to female travelers’ comfort and needs. Other features include:
