Three more Westins for India

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is to manage three new Westin hotels in India.
In biotechnology hub Hyderabad, the Westin will open The Westin Hyderabad, Mindspace, with 428 rooms. The second new addition – The 277-room Westin Pune, Koregaon Park – will be in Pune, an emerging destination for banking and financial services. The third hotel - The 323-room Westin Kolkata, Rajarhat - will be in Kolkata, the commercial and trading hub of India.
The Hyderabad and Pune Westins are scheduled to open in 2009, while the Kolkata property will open the following year.
“Westin’s new hotels in Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata further accelerate our plans to become one of the most recognisable brands in India, both in gateway cities and emerging commercial centres,” said Miguel Ko, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific.
Westin had earlier announced hotel developments in Gurgaon, Sohna and Bangalore.
