Tiger Airways plans to raise US$196 million in IPO

Tiger Airways announced plans to raise up to SG$273 million (US$196 million) through an initial public offering (IPO). According to a Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation report, the low-cost carrier will sell 165 million shares valued at between SG$1.35 and SG$1.65, representing 30% of its total shares. Tiger will use the funds to support aircraft orders, pay off loans and establish new bases, the report added.
