SINGAPORE, 10 September 2009. Tiger Airways will resume flights to Hat Yai from 3rd November 2009, almost two years since it suspended flights to this gateway city in southern Thailand.
Due to increasing feedback from customers asking for resumption of service to Thailand’s third largest provincial capital, Tiger Airways will offer three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. As part of the celebration of its return, the carrier is offering low fares for travel to Hat Yai, starting from S$10 one way excluding taxes and charges. Travellers can start booking on line now.
Rosalynn Tay, Managing Director of Tiger Airways, said, “Hat Yai exudes a booming modern energy fuelled by the region’s prosperity. It attracts a large numbers of ASEAN tourists with its many shops and entertainment facilities. We are particularly appreciative of the combined efforts of the airport authorities, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the local community for making our come back to this destination a viable possibility.”
“Once again, I am pleased that Tiger is able to give customers what they want by bringing back a frequently requested destination,” added Rosalynn.
