A West Sumatran village is living in fear of three tigers thought to be stalking the settlement and eating livestock, the Jakarta Post reported. Indonesian authorities are reportedly setting off gunpowder blasts as a deterrent, and may use traps to relocate the tigers, the report said.
There are fewer than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, according to World Wildlife Fund.
