It seems the youth travel market is still undeterred by their budgets after exhibitors at the TNT Travel Show announced high booking levels. Dan Saunders, head of business development at On The Go Tours said it took 10 times more bookings than all the shows it attends in a year, while TNT’s data showed that 82 percent of the 12, 260 visitors planned to book a holiday. “People coming to the show, came to book,” said Denis Geary, managing director of Wicked Campers. “And this year we took 19 times more bookings than in 2010, which is a fantastic return.” Travel Talk, STA Travel, Topdeck and Intrepid Travel also reported an increase in sales. Meanwhile, 17 percent more Brits attended the show this year totalling to 1, 367.
