Tour operators prepare for seasonal temple opening

According to a recent announcement, the doors of the holy shrine of Badrinath Temple, situated along the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district, will reopen on 9 May.
Known to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in India, Badrinath temple is the domicile of lord Vishnu and is the most revered site of all the four pilgrim sites of the Chardham Yatra.
The popular tourist site has been closed for six months, as it is every year between November and May due to the extreme Himalayan weather conditions.
Every year the celestial region of Himalaya attracts pilgrims from all nuke and corners of the world who take this journey towards divine salvation and tour operators are now gearing up for the rush in May.
