Dozens of tourists have been stung by jellyfish in the waters off the Malaysian resort of Kuantan, the New Straits Times has reported. Visitors to the town’s beaches are now being warned against swimming in the sea after more than 10 people were treated for stings over the weekend.
“I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my right calf. I could see a red jellyfish sticking on my leg,” said Shahril Anuwar Mohd Baki, who was one of those staying at the Hyatt Regency Kuantan.
