ABTA’s Travel Convention kicks off in Croatia today with a focus on ‘Travel in a Connected World’.
The annual conference will feature several business sessions, networking opportunities and parties during the next two days, with many arriving last night in Dubrovnik.
The conference will be the first under the direction of new ABTA chairman Noel Josephides, who will take to the stage later today in his first address in the role.
After the initial welcomes, the programme will start with ‘futurist’ Dr Graeme Codrington discussing the external factors he believes will shake the industry in the next decade.
Further speakers today include LBC radio presenter Iain Dale; Malcolm Preston from PwC; Google’d head of travel Nigel Huddleston and one of Thomas Cook’s digital advisory board, John Straw.
Travel Daily’s editor Amanda Greenwood will be reporting from the convention, as well as posting a daily blog within the pages of Travel Daily UK and tweeting from our Twitter page @TDUKnews.
