Turkish Airlines launches new Iraqi route

Turkish Airlines has launched its first nonstop flight from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Basra, marking the airline’s third destination in Iraq after Baghdad and Arbil. Flights are scheduled to depart two times per week on Thursdays and Saturdays. Turkish Airlines will increase the frequency of the Basra route from two to three (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) and the flights will be operated via Necef by 5 July.Turkish Airlines has also launched flights to Naples in Italy. The route is operated three times per week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The frequency will increase from three to five (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on 2 August.
