Tourism businesses in Turkey have been given ABTA health and safety training as part of the association’s seminar programme. Angie Hills, destination manager at ABTA and Ian Greaves from IGI educated 500 hotel managers, F&B managers, transport companies and local authority personnel in a 10-day programme in Turkey. It included sessions in the resorts of Antalya, Fetihye, Bodrum, Marmaris and Kusadasi and was supported by the Turkish Tourist Office, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Transport. “By promoting good practice, seminars such as these will help to ensure that holidaymakers from all over the world will get a great holiday in Turkish resorts,” said Hills.
