The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior has requested citizens keep a low profile abroad and respect laws of countries they visit.
Under the banner, ‘United in Destiny: Our Image Abroad’, a council was hosted by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Mahmoud who also urged Emiratis who travel abroad to register in the ‘Twajudi’ electronic service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The council stressed the importance of access to the services provided by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointing to the importance of the participation of the Ministry of Education in spreading awareness among the students about respecting law culture.
Council participants also called on airline companies operating within the UAE to contribute in spreading awareness and educating travellers who come to the UAE for work or pleasure about the applicable laws of the UAE.
The participants recommended organizing Ramadan councils in the UAE embassies abroad for the Emirati students that are enrolled in Arab and foreign universities, and for citizens who may be travelling overseas during the holy month of Ramadan.
Furthermore, the participants addressed the major role of ambassadors, students and tourists and their part in “showing the bright image of the UAE”.
