UAE opens aviation study centre

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) have joined forces to establish the Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS) in Abu Dhabi, Gulf News has reported.
In a ceremony held at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, told reporters; “Our achievement today signals a new era in building a national institution… necessary to advance, promote and protect the national aviation interests of the UAE.”
The centre will focus on training, research and studies to advance the country’s burgeoning aviation industry.
