UK airport traffic falls

The number of passengers travelling through Britain’s main airports fell 2.7% last year despite a 3.5% increase in the number of long-haul trips being made, airports operator BAA, was reported saying.
According to The Times of London, BAA which owns London’s three largest airports – Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted - saw operating profits fall 18% to GBP582 million (US$844 million).
