Australia-based travel wholesaler Excite Holidays has expanded its operations into Asia, with the launch of a new presence in Singapore.
The company said its Singapore launch was driven by “strong interest from Singaporean travel agents”, and followed a presentation given to the country’s travel trade by Excite’s managing director & co-founder, Nic Stavropoulos, and chief technology officer, Damian Sutton, in conjunction with the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS).
During the presentation, Singapore-based travel agents were introduced to Excite Holidays’ booking platform and product range, and provided with an insight into the online wholesaler’s future strategies and innovations.
“The demand for our wholesale travel products and innovative technology on a global scale is exceptionally high,” said Stavropoulos. “Our intuitive technology, built by our in-house team of developers, will empower Singaporean travel agents with cutting-edge tools which will enable them to compete more effectively and also maximise the earning potential of each booking.
“As a company, we’re committed to revolutionising the future of online wholesale travel through innovative technology and we’re delighted to be helping Singaporean travel agents compete on a global scale,” he added.
The launch in Singapore follows the company’s previous expansion into the Thai travel market, and the company also has a presence in the UK, New Zealand and Greece. Singaporean travel agents are now able to make Excite bookings.
