A rare Bugatti motor car, which has been gathering dust in a UK garage for nearly 50 years, could to fetch up to GBP6 million (US$8.7 million) when it is auctioned next month, Reuters has reported.
The 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante was left in the lock-up in Newcastle by its now deceased owner in 1960 with just 26,000 miles on the clock. It is one of only 17 of its kind in the world.
It will be auctioned at Bonhams’ Retromobile sale in Paris on 7 February, where it is expected to become the most expensive car ever sold at auction.
