V&A curator joins Maharaja Express journey

Dr Amin Jaffer, curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Christie’s Director of Asian Art, will be boarding the Maharaja Express for a one-off departure later this year. On 14 November the luxury train will voyage on its Royal India itinerary. Dr Jaffer will lecture on Indian art, culture and history during the week-long journey as well as holding informal discussions. The six-night Royal India itinerary starts in Delhi and will visit Agra, Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Vadodara en route to Mumbai. Excursions include a champagne lunch at the Taj Mahal, a tiger safari at Ranthambore, an elephant polo match in the Aravali hills and a small private festival in the Bikaner desert.
