Vietnam Highlands seeks air links

Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong has sought approval to open domestic and international air routes, in an effort to boost local tourism and trade. Thanh Nien News reported that Lam Dong’s local authorities have asked for flights to be permitted between Da Lat and nearby countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Singapore and South Korea.
It also suggested domestic routes be opened from Da Lat to Danang and Can Tho, and that the number of flights to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) be increased. At president Da Lat has two flights a day to HCMC and one to Hanoi, the report said.
