Vietnam opens southern expressway

Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport has announced the temporary opening of a major expressway connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Long An and Tien Giang in the Mekong Delta. According to a Thanh Nien Daily report, the 40km road, also known as HCMC-Trung Luong Highway, is scheduled to be fully completed by the second quarter of 2011.
