Vietnam to develop spiritual tourism zone

Vietnam is planning to develop a new Buddhism tourism area in the northern province of Quang Ninh. According to the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (VNAT), more than VND2.6 trillion (US$137 million) will be invested into the area by ATS Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company. The project, to be located at the border of Dong Trieu District, and will cover a total area of 164 hectares. Hotels and tourism services will be built in accordance with Buddhist architecture and style, the VNAT said.
