Virgin Australia signs aircraft maintenance deal

Virgin Australia has signed training and maintenance contracts to support the expansion of its Airbus A330 fleet. SR Technics provide component maintenance services for the aircraft and technical training for staff in Australia.The agreement covers component exchange, repair, engineering and logistics services, as well as access to the SR Technics components pool and component management services. This radically simplifies aircraft maintenance and repair processes for the airline which has also opted for a component financing solution from Sanad Aero Solutions. SR Technics’ has also committed training services which will provide technical training to Virgin Australia staff in Melbourne for the next four years.The agreements will initially support the airline’s first two Airbus A330, extending to cover at least five more by 2013 as the airline expands its fleet.
