Small ship cruise operator Voyages to Antiquity is offering savings on a European cruise holiday with a horticultural theme next summer.
John Hughes, a long-time judge for the Royal Horticultural Society, will be on board throughout the 15-day ‘European Connoisseur’ cruise to help gardeners and amateur botanists appreciate the flowers encountered along the way.
With a June departure date, this ‘gardening-leave’ trip is timed to ensure passengers and judges do not miss the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (May) or RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (July).
Departing Seville on 9 June 2018, the cruise will sail along the Guadalquivir River in Spain and Gironde River in France. Ports of call include Lisbon and Oporto (Portugal), Vigo (Spain), Bordeaux and Honfleur (France) and Falmouth, Dartmouth and London (England), where the cruise ends.
Special fares for ‘Plan a Cruise Month’ mean travellers can save up to £1,000pp on this voyage if they book before 31 October 2017). Prices start at £2,350 per person, including outbound flight, nine guided shore excursions, a two-night hotel stay in Seville, all meals on board, drinks with dinner onboard, gratuities and the guest speaker programme.
