Voyages Heron Island Resort gets eco boost

Voyages Heron Island Resort has been given a further boost to its strong eco-tourism credentials following a US$9 million refurbishment of the Heron Island Research Station.
Located next to the resort, the University of Queensland-owned Research Station is renowned facility for coral reef research and marine sciences. The facility will reopen on 20 February with guests visiting Voyages Heron Island Resort able to benefit from the interpretive tours, participation in educational Coral Watch programs and environmental talks.
