Wataniya to operate direct Beirut-Vienna services

Kuwait- carrier Wataniya Airways will introduce direct flights between Beirut and Vienna on Sunday 31 October.
The new service will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will begin on Sunday, 31 October 2010.
Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways, Abdulsalam Al Bahar, said: “We are very proud to be the only airline to serve the route between Beirut and Vienna. This new service will open up new markets for Wataniya Airways guests who are traveling from Beirut to Vienna and onwards to other European destinations, as well as for those wishing to travel from Vienna to Beirut and the Middle East.”
Wataniya Airways began its commercial operations in January 2009 and now operates a fleet of seven Airbus A320s to 11 destinations around the Middle East.
