Rakesh Mathur, President of WelcomHeritage, said of the new additions; “Our selection of properties is based primarily on location since a property must either be in a tourist destination or must form part of a travel circuit.”
Mathur added however, that heritage hotels face challenges due to their rural locations, including visitor seasonality, infrastructure, connectivity and skilled staff.
